Length of Our Lives Vs Its Width and Depth
“We cannot do much about the length of our lives; but we can do plenty about its width and depth”. Evan Esara
There are things we can do about the length, e.g. the oldest dog ever lived to be 29 years old and was a vegan, but it is limited. Width and depth are more important.
Length of our lives depends on God's will. But what to do with is entirely on us. We can do something useful with it or waste it by doing nothing. We can be helpful, kind, considerate, become effective and useful or become arrogant, insolent, indolent, waste our talents and become useless.
Wife of a beautiful soul (married for 3 years); daughter of a selfless mum; sister of two amazing pillars of strength whom I endearingly call my brothers; mother of none. Trying to conceive. No luck yet. Holding onto a fine thread called Hope. Waiting anxiously for heaps of baby dust to be showered upon us. Wishing to be blessed and be a blessing to all.
How true those words of wisdom are.

What a wonderful quote.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think...(unless I dreamed it..) that today (August 11) is your birthday. I think you mentioned that in a comment on my blog. We are both Leos!
Anyway, I wish you a happy birthday! You are a great friend and support to me, and I appreciate all the feedback I get from you.
Happy Birthday =)
